恭賀本中心陳立宗執行長獲經濟部國家產業創新獎
Course Objectives:
Cancer has ranked among the top ten causes of death for more than thirty years, causing significant losses to families and countries. It remains an unresolved challenge in medicine. With advances in cancer treatment, the choices for cancer treatment have become more diversified, gradually moving towards 'precision medicine.' To this day, many cancers have been confirmed to be related to abnormal gene expression or molecular pathways, leading to the emergence of targeted therapies. However, many targeted drugs show a correlation between drug concentration in the patients' blood, efficacy, and/or toxicity. Since recommended doses exhibit high variability among different patient populations, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics become even more critical in clinical practice. By utilizing systematic reviews and integrated analysis as the foundation for evidence-based pharmacology development, how to apply precision cancer treatment has been extensively discussed in clinical trials and research papers worldwide. This course covers topics such as cancer cell progression, cancer diagnosis and treatment development, precision medicine, and evidence-based pharmacology, taught by faculty from the medical and pharmaceutical schools as well as guest lecturers. It aims to equip graduate students with key knowledge in precision cancer treatment and clinical pharmacology to engage in future clinical medicine, pharmaceutical science, and clinical pharmacology research related to cancer.
